3rd/4th grade Boys Advanced League

Open gyms and tryouts have been scheduled for our 3rd/4th boys advanced recreation league!

If your son is interested in playing at a more competitive level and is planning to try out for a select team starting in 5th grade, then consider trying out for the advanced league.

Tryouts are required to be placed on a team. If your son does not make an advanced team, he will be placed on a 3rd or 4th grade recreation team based on his current grade. 

Open gyms:

Tuesday, October 15th: Fairview ES 5:30-6:30pm

Thursday, October 17th: Fairfax Villa ES 5:30-6:30pm

Tryouts:

PRE K SKILLS CLASS

The class is primarily designed for three and four year old players who want to play basketball, but are not yet ready for the practice/game component of the league. Classes are offered Saturday mornings for six weeks. The focus is on helping players learn and develop the fundamentals of basketball such as dribbling, passing and shooting while having fun. 

Winter class dates are TBD. 

Development and Recreation Overview Winter Program 

Boys and Girls Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st-12th grade 

BRYC Basketball is offered to players looking to develop basketball skills, play in a competitive environment, and enjoy a weekly local game. BRYC gives players the chance to play against BRYC teams and other local Club Rec teams. The Rec program requires one practice a week and one game a week. Seasons are 8 games plus practices. All coaches are volunteers and often parents. BRYC encourages parents to volunteer and share the excitement of basketball firsthand. 

Winter League typically begins in November with team formation and runs through the end of February. 

Financial Aid: Please email a copy of your player's Medicaid card and/or free/reduced lunch letter to basketball@bryc.org to qualify.
